5 Things Friday - The High Street Edit
Designer-looking sandals, linen co-ords, a great high street perfume and a super summer LBD. Yes, it's here - my top 20 high street finds.
It’s finally feeling like we’re having a spot of summer. It may be fleeting, but hopefully we’re building up to a cracking June or July! Either way, I’ve changed my wardrobe over now, and there are lots of summery looks on the high street, so here are my Top 20 Picks.
#1 If you missed getting hold of the black version of the New Look slides, they’ve just been released in brown. They’re comfortable, have a nice chunky sole and are a gorgeous light brown… in my basket immediately.
#2 I’m getting more and more into jumpsuits. I now own two! This Mango linen one is perfect for dressing up/down and would be a great item to throw in your suitcase for a city break.
#3 Perfume seems to be getting ridiculously expensive! My daughter got me into this Zara one after I kept asking her what she was wearing as it smelt so nice. It’s actually men’s, but if you like fresh aromatic notes, its fab and under £16!
#4 H&M do great kaftan style dresses and the print of this one is gorgeous and looks designer. Perfect for a beach to bar look.
#5 A summer LBD is a must in my wardrobe. This Arket one would work in the UK and abroad. It’s loose, covers the upper arms (if that’s on your agenda) and has pockets.
#6 I had a knitted racer top like this and every time I wore it, I got compliments. Perfect for a summer nights out with linen trousers.
#7 My friend got the M&S Summer Beauty Bag this week and immediately WhatsApped me to say how good it is. With over £170 worth of products for only £30 (when you spend £35 on full price items) and lots of great brands featured, it’s an absolute bargain.
#8 I love coloured sunglasses and these red Hush ones are perfect for adding a colour pop to your sun outfits. Hush currently have 15% off everything.
#9 I tried this co-ord on last week (size down IMO). The top is a gorgeous fit and cropped linen trousers are a summer staple. A co-ord always gives extra value as a versatile piece in your wardrobe. I love the navy but it does come in a sage green too.
#10 Leather Ancient Greek look-a-likes for a fraction of the cost? Yes please! These are a dead ringer for my Espadrille ones too, which I wear every holiday.
