This week, it’s all about how to create spring looks with your wardrobe basics, and then add in a few of the all-important ‘extras’ that give you your own personal style. Last week, I spoke about how your wardrobe basics are personal to you and how important it is to make sure they reflect your lifestyle and sartorial needs. For today’s newsletter, I’ve picked 5 Basic items that I’m certain you’ll all have in your wardrobe in some shape or form. However, if you don’t own a white shirt or some barrel trousers, swap in something similar that you own. This is not about having the exact items to create the outfits, it’s about utilising your wardrobe to (with some inspiration from my outfit formulas) create looks that work for you. So, we’ve got the foundation on which to build all our spring looks, and now is the fun bit where we get to style the outfits. What follows are some outfit formulas to inspire you with your own wardrobe, whether you have the exact items or not. It’s really easy to overlook what you already have and not realise the potential of your existing pieces. Sometimes it’s just about adding a simple accessory, a necktie or different shoes, or even taking away an item, to make an outfit work for a different situation. So, lets get going…
