5 Things Friday - A guide to Kefalonia

It was back in August on a rainy Saturday afternoon when I asked on my Instagram stories what Greece is like in October.

After a few tough months, I wanted to get a quick break in the sun before my workload ramped up and encourage my husband to take a break after losing his father. There was lots of positive feedback and the thought of booking a holiday, with the added advantage of it being during term time (my first in 30 years), meant that after some quick scrolling, I had a week away in Kefalonia sorted by 5pm. My eldest daughter India had recently booked 5 days away on the island and came back with many recommendations, so we had an itinerary list and a big wish for some relaxation. Did it live up to our dreams?
