Lisbon - A Long Weekend

Planning a city break to Lisbon? There's so much to see, do and eat! Here are my recommendations for a long weekend.

I visited Lisbon last April, before I started to write 5 Things Friday, but I’ve had a lot of questions and requests since then so I thought a little retrospective review was probably a good idea. I also know lots of you have Lisbon on your travel wishlist this year. Lisbon is one of my favourite cities to visit. We’ve been twice in recent years and both times left saying we would happily return - always a good sign! For me, it’s the perfect long weekend break because of the fabulous food, culture and shopping, but also a quick hop on the train and a relaxing beach day awaits… the best of both worlds. So with only 4 days to soak everything up, here’s what I recommend.
